Allt Dearg Educational Trust - applications for 2019

Allt Dearg Educational Trust is now accepting applications for 2019.

Young people in further education and who will be living away from home can apply. Priority goes to young people from the areas surrounding Allt Dearg Community Windfarm, so this means those whose local primary school is Ardrishaig, Achahoish, Tarbert or Tighnabruaich. Next we consider those who went to Lochgilphead or Tarbert for secondary education, and then from the rest of Argyll. Currently we are supporting 60 young people, with grants totalling over £63,000 this year alone. The grants continue until the end of the course, always subject to the young person making progress. We expect 40 of the current young people to continue their courses and their grants will total £40,000.

Regular donations from both Allt Dearg Community Windfarm and Srondoire Community Windfarm total over £50,000 a year. Since we started in 2013 we have made grants totalling nearly £200,000.
